Development of Roll-to-Roll High Speed Laser Micro Processing Machine for Preparing Through-holed Anodes and Cathodes of Lithium-ion Batteries

Abstract To improve the battery performance of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), modifying anodes and cathodes LIBs using laser beams to prepare through-holes, nonthrough-holes or ditches in arrangements grid line patterns has been proposed by many researchers engineers. In this study, a system with roll-to-roll machine, which realizes modification without large changes present mass-production system, was developed.
